Your markets are the channels and countries you sell in. They belong to your Seller Account, not to the sales agent behind it: one agent can serve several sellers in different markets, and an agent’s declared coverage names its primary markets, not the only ones. Your markets do two things:
  • Your Listing. Buyers see your channels and countries on your Apostra Listing.
  • Which requests reach you. A buyer’s get_products request or media buy that names channels or countries outside your markets does not reach your sources. A request that names neither reaches all of them.

If your storefront passes requests to your own sales agent

A pass-through storefront sends buyer requests on to your own sales agent. Until you set your markets, Apostra uses what your agent declares:
  • Your Listing shows your agent’s standard AdCP primary_channels and primary_countries.
  • Every request that reaches your storefront goes to your agent, whatever channel or country it names. Your agent decides what to answer.
Your agent’s declaration never limits which requests you receive. Only markets you confirm do.

Confirm your markets

Save your channels together with your countries, or with worldwide acceptance, in one save_seller call. That save confirms them as your markets:
To accept every country, send "acceptsAllCountries": true instead of countries. You can send the same fields grouped under listing. On a pass-through storefront, the save must include at least one channel and either at least one country or "acceptsAllCountries": true. Otherwise it is refused with VALIDATION_FAILED, and the field names what is missing. A confirmation chooses both dimensions, so it never turns on values you didn’t choose. Save a new operator domain and your markets in separate calls. After you confirm:
  • Your Listing shows the markets you saved, and reports them as set by you.
  • Requests and media buys outside them no longer reach your agent.
To change your markets later, save them again the same way. To limit one buyer’s work to particular countries without changing your markets, use buyer instructions instead.
