Meta platform preview

The Creative composer always shows Apostra’s labelled approximation. When a Meta platform preview is available, it also offers Meta’s own preview for the chosen placement. A preview helps you review a draft. It does not approve the creative, deliver it, publish it, or spend money. Meta previews are currently available only to Scope3 internal test accounts. Other accounts see the approximation and no draft content is sent to Meta.

What a preview sends to Meta

For an enabled internal test account, Apostra sends one read-only request through the buyer’s own Meta connection. The request contains the selected ad account, the requested placement, and the creative manifest: format metadata, the brand reference, the Page (and Instagram identity for Instagram), draft primary text, headline, description, call to action, landing URL, and a link to the draft image. Meta fetches the image from that link. For a composer draft, the link is a signed read of the Library image you chose. It is made for that one preview, only after Apostra checks the image belongs to your account and advertiser, and it expires after 15 minutes. The request creates no creative, ad, image, or campaign, and it does not publish or spend money. Meta’s preview is offered only on a campaign’s composer draft for a Meta image post, and only when the draft has a Library image. The composer hides the preview controls everywhere else. The same creative is sent to Meta when the buyer later chooses to run it. Apostra documents the inputs it sends and does not claim what Meta retains after receiving them.
