The connection quickstart has copyable commands for Codex and Claude Code, plus setup guidance for other Streamable HTTP clients. For a connection that follows your account’s rollout, use:
The URL stays the same when your account moves between V2 and V3. Buyer accounts follow their existing Murph buyer profile: V3-enabled buyers receive V3 tools, and other buyers receive V2 buyer tools. If the buyer profile cannot be evaluated, the connection uses V2. Seller accounts receive V3. Organisation and Agents accounts use V3’s account navigation and account-specific tools. Your existing permissions still apply. The server serves this URL directly, without redirecting to a versioned URL. MCP clients that maintain sessions select a version when they create a session and keep it until they start a new session, even after an account switch or profile change. Reconnect with a new session to pick up the new account’s version. Stateless MCP clients select a version from the active account on each request. If your integration requires the V3 tool vocabulary regardless of rollout, use https://api.apostra.com/mcp/v3, as the developer quickstart does. The explicit V2 buyer and storefront URLs also keep their existing behavior.

Register https://api.apostra.com/mcp as the MCP server URL and complete OAuth. The account’s rollout can then change without changing the registered URL. When moving an existing connection to a new URL, complete OAuth again. The new URL is a different OAuth resource. A stable URL does not remove host review requirements for changes to tools or authentication.

Claude and Cowork

Regular Claude and Cowork use the hosted MCP connector. In Claude’s connector settings, add a custom connector with the URL above and complete OAuth in the browser. Your plan and organisation settings must allow custom connectors; an administrator may need to enable access. Ask the connected assistant to inspect its available tools and report the active account without making changes. On V3, use get_status. Follow Manage ads for V3 buying, selling, and reporting workflows. The apostra-developer plugin is for Codex and Claude Code. Its installation commands run in those coding tools, not in regular Claude or Cowork. Use the developer quickstart when you want to build software. To add Apostra’s buyer workflow skills to Claude or Cowork, install the buyer plugins instead.

Existing connections

Keep an explicit versioned URL if your workflow requires that version’s tools. To follow your account’s rollout instead, change the connection URL to /mcp and complete OAuth again. Selecting a version in these docs does not change a client configuration or grant additional permissions. A plugin that already supplies the endpoint does not need a second manually added connector. The server can close a connection after 30 minutes or during a deploy. Reuse the existing MCP session when reconnecting. Do not design long-running work around one open tool call. If a call is interrupted, its response may be lost even when the operation was accepted. Re-read state and follow that tool’s idempotency contract before retrying. See Build an agent.
