# Preview account archive

> See what must be resolved before an account can be archived

`GET /api/v2/accounts/{customerId}/archive-preview`

Checks whether a child account can be archived. The response lists every live campaign and every executable or unsettled media buy that blocks the change. It does not change the account or any campaign.

You must be an administrator on the parent organization. An Apostra SuperAdmin can also run the check.

When `canArchive` is `false`, `reason` explains why: `CURRENT_ACCOUNT`, `ALREADY_ARCHIVED`, `INACTIVE_OTHER`, or `DEPENDENCIES`. `INACTIVE_OTHER` means the account was deactivated outside this archive workflow and cannot be managed here. For dependencies, cancel or settle every item in `blockers`, then preview again. Draft, pending, active, paused, input-required, unknown, and other non-terminal work blocks archive. Completed, cancelled, rejected, failed, and already archived work stays available as history and does not block it.
